Raised in Kabwata-Lusaka, gifted Afropop songstress Nina Sky started music at an early age with singing lessons in high school.
She transitioned to the spotlight by way of the 2011 single ‘Kale’ which featured Alpha Entertainments CEO Macky2. “This was my turning point,” she said. Macky2 who she co-wrote the song with helped her realise her dream.
Born December 23rd as Brina Phiri, Nina Sky went to St. Patrick’s Girls and completed school at David Kaunda National Technical School and later did Business Administration at Zambia Institute of Business College Trust.
She recorded her second single ‘Funti love’ meaning crazy love, with Trixtar, before disappearing from the music scene.
She became active again in 2014 dropping her landmark music video for ‘Wakuside’. The video won her an award with CBC TV for Best Female New Comer.
Nina Sky has done several songs including ‘Potential,Te Bonse Ft. Neo, Lego Lego ( All Yours) Ft. Sean Miller, Munaniziba and Chikondi Ft Ben Da Future.
Her current single ‘Wazoona’ features Dambisa.
Nina Sky was this year a nominee in the best new comer category at the Kwacha Music 2019 which was won by Katongo.
