Africa’s favourite performing artists and sworn enemies, Burna Boy and AKA will finally squash their beef ahead of the Africa Day Benefit Concert.
British star Idris Elba will host the show that will feature stars Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade, South Africa’s Sho Madozi and Nasty C, Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz and many more.
AKA and Burna Boy’ beef started after the rising xenophobic attacks in South Africa, especially against Nigerians and Zimbabweans, Burna Boy decided not to perform at the Afropunk festival in Johannesburg in December.
In a tweet that has since been deleted, the Nigerian rapper said he would not perform in SA until “the government wakes the F* up”. When AKA took him on, he told him to “beef up his security”. A twitter war followed.
